  1)  About Sucralose

Sucralose, a white crystalline powder, which is smellless & nonhygroscopic. It is very soluble to water, ethanol & methonal and stable to heat & PH change. Sucralose is the only High Intensity Sweetener(HIS) made from sugar, it is about 600 times sweeter than cane sugar. It tastes like sugar, but won’t participate in body metabolism. It has been permitted as food additive by more than 120 countries.

Sucrolose is the only non-calorie sweetener made from sugar. More than 140 scientific studies conducted over a 20-year period have conclusively demonstrated that sucralose is safe for consumption.
In1990, the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives(JECFA) was the first regulatory body to endorse the safety of Sucralose.
In 1991, Canada’s Health Protection Branch became the first national regulatory agency to endorse sucralose safety and permit its use in foods & beverages.
In 1997, Chinaendorsed the safety of Sucralose and permitted its use as food additive.
Till now more than 120 countries and regions have permitted the use of Sucralose in food & beverage industries.
